Use Our Lesson Plans!
Using the National Standards of Learning

Use your school building as a starting point for a Lesson Plan in history and social studies!
The 2003-2004 National Secondary Social Studies Teacher of the Year Geraldine Hastings*, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation have worked together to produce Lesson Plans for Historic School Day. These Lesson Plans will use the year, or the decade, in which your school was built as the starting point for a project that will make history come alive for your students. We will provide a national forum for all participants to post their projects on line. Plan to participate; take photos and post your work on the CEFPI Foundation web site and the National Trust for Historic Preservation's web site www.nthp.org. We'll be picking examples to share all year long!
